The MacBook Air must really be that revolutionary.
Michael Nygard when going through airport security managed to baffle TSA when they couldn’t understand that it was a computer as it didn’t have what they considered the necessary components.
I’m standing, watching my laptop on the table, listening to security clucking just behind me. “There’s no drive,” one says. “And no ports on the back. It has a couple of lines where the drive should be,” she continues.
Luckily there was a slightly younger member of the team on hand to explain that it was a MacBook Air, unfortunately Michael ended up missing his flight.
Anyway, I think this marks a point in time where the conventual computer will start to change, if it hasn’t already, you’ve seen the iMac and now the MacBook Air. We are at the beginning of a transition and it would appear a lot of people weren’t ready for it. I’ excited to see how many more technology marvels will manage to baffle airport security staff.
